Tuesday morning a little after 7:00 am, a young man was shot dead on his way to school. His mom did not know when he walked out the door that morning; she would never see him alive again. I wonder what their last parting words were. Were they positive? Words of love? Did he leave in anger or irritation with his mom? He did not know that with every step he took out his door to reach school, he was walking to his death.

Did you pray this morning when you left the house? When you awoke this morning were you praising the Lord? What were your parting words with your loved ones, or roommate? That young man’s name is Marckel Norman Ross he was 18yrs old. He never knew that Tuesday was his last day taking that walk to school. I don’t think of him as another face added to the youth dying in the DMV area. He was a son, cousin, friend, brother. I drove past the very spot he died Tuesday morning, wondering what was going on, what happened. I don’t know if he was saved or knew the Lord. But I want to remind you, that you don’t want to leave your computer screen at this very moment without giving your life to God. Often time’s people think that “tomorrow isn’t promised to you” is just a Christian cliché. But I beg to differ, it is very true. Jesus Loves You! Whatever your circumstance, Whatever situation you may be facing in your life right now, it is not too much for God to bear, give it to Jesus.

Just because we're young does not guarantee tomorrow, but when we live for God we are guaranteed everlasting life. Living every day for Jesus is well worth it.

Romans 5:8-10 NKJV

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

 Make everyday A Day Of Faith.

Give them Something To Talk About!!

       Does your Godly life speak for you? Can any one tell by your actions that you believe in God? Do your actions reflect a life of a believer? As Christians we are taught to lead by example and always walk in faith and love. Your Godly lives will speak for you. So what does this mean?  Let Jesus be your guide and example of how to live; we must live a life that's pure and holy. If you only say you have a Godly life and do not live a Godly life you are speaking in vain. We are victorious, mighty conquerors and overcomers because of our Godly lives; let your walk speak for you. Become somebody's help to get to God.

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." ( Matthew 5:16)

Your life may give someone else hope and help them to believe that they can make it because of the God they see living in you. So let your light shine and be the Jesus people see. You never know you may be the only Jesus they see.
Which brings me back to the first sentence Does Your Godly Life Speak For You?

As you continue to follow your heart, make sure your heart is being led by God.

Be Friendly... Love Wins

Have you ever been walking around in a store and a complete stranger will smile and say hello to you walking by? You never know how much a smile, greeting or compliment can brighten someones day. God wants us to show his love. So, push your own selfish motives aside and seek out to speak kindly to someone who seems down; be kind to that grouchy co-worker, professor, boss, classmate, sales associate, etc.  John 15:13 says, "greater love has no on than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends". Jesus loved us enough to die for us and he calls us His friends. How much more do you think he requires of us in return to show to others? We have to come to a point in our relationship with Christ, to move beyond our own feelings, and be salt and light in this world. People are watching, and if we say we love Christ we must not be only hearers of the word but doers.... get up and Go!! Be a friend, go out of your own way; this is bigger than you. I implore you today to go out and show kindness; when you do you will have Joy.
 May the God of hope fill you with all Joy and Peace in beliving, that you may abound in hope by ythe power of the Holy Spirit. You don't want to miss an ministering moment!!

27th Stellar Awards 2012

Did you watch the 27th Stellar Awards Yesterday on GMC? If you didn't check your local listing to see when it comes on again.
I absolutely enjoyed performnances by Lecrae, Canton Jones, Da'Truth, Kirk Franklin, LeAndria Johnson, and James Fortune and Fiya!! This Stellar Awards was absolutely Amazing and to top it all off  psalmist VaShawn Mitchell (who sings 'Nobody Greater') won 6 (yes I said SIX) Stellars!! I most definitely enjoyed every bit of the Stellars.

My favorite performance was the collaboration with Da'Truth, Lecrae and Canton Jones!!
