Happy Birthday Dr. King || A Black History Article

Happy Dr. King Day Faithwalkers,

Happy Birthday Dr. King by Emanuel Osborne

Almost 50 years go, Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr was assasinated.I recently read an column in Blessed BeYond Belief Magazine, that was written in recignition of Dr. King. It is very imformative and relateable to our generation, because the article is written by a gentlemen in his mid-twenties. By the way, this artcile was written by my brother. Kudos to him for writing a genuine article about hiw views on Dr. King and how Rev. King story impacted his life.

You can read it for the entire month of Jan and Feb 2016 in Blessed BeYond Belief Magazine.

He is my only hope

Happy Sunny Days Faithwalkers,

I hope everyone's last semester is winding down well as we enter Summer Break.I have been pretty swell, Blessed, Fantabulous (that's fantastic and fabulous together incase you didn't know).

With so much confusion in our culture and today's society on topics of abortion, homosexuality, and racial division I thought I would write a message on hope. Yes, I want you to stand on the Hope of Christ, and stand strong in what you believe. It is often frustrting to be labeled a person who hates others due to our opposing beliefs. This is not true. People confuse dislike, with hate.

We are one body in Christ so therefore there is no racial division amongst us as believers. It's not us against them, but us (believers), figting together against the wiles of the Devil. There is a misunderstanding on what Love truly is in Christ, we love all people, but we will never agree with the sinful nature of man. Why? Because anything that goes against God's word can never be accepted.

If people tell you, "everybody deserves a little ratchet every now and then", remember Christ said, "Be ye Holy, for I am Holy". When our culture says, you are not "living" when you won't agree to party, drink, behave promiscuosly, and lve like a rebel remember scripture tells us, "not to walk in the counsel of the ungodly" and we have found life in Christ. As the culture continues to press upon us to get money at any cost to our dignity, sanity and soul, live however we please and worry about the consequences later; I have a message for you, from God, your life as a daughter or son of God must continue to be apart of the counterculture of believers who refuse to Bend.

But I am like a green olive tree
    in the house of God.
I trust in the steadfast love of God
    forever and ever.  Psalm 52:8

Never apologize for not compromising! Yea, I said it. I make no apologies for believing in God. Be Bold, Courageous and Proud of who you are, because everyone else in the world is gladly parading around their sinful lifestyle. It's time for you to sprout like a olive tree and continue to Boast on how Great our GOD is. In the end we continue too realize God is truly our only HOPE!

Laugh in the face of the enemy. Smile in the face of opposition.

to Know His Love

 Happy Monday Faith-walkers,

I thought all morning what would be the best way to encourage those who read my blog this week, and instantly this article came to mind. What does it mean to really know the love of Christ? How do you describe it? Obtain it? How does a person express this love to others?
Ephesians 3:17-19 "That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God."

The Love of Jesus is beyond measure. It is important that we do not forget this all encompassing factor of Jesus' Love. When Paul wrote this letter he wanted to impress upon the church of Ephesus to be filled with the love of God, we must know the love of Christ. And now I tell you to know the breadth, length, height and depth of His Love.......

Faith-spiration! (Faith based inspiration)

Hello Faith walkers,

I hope you have a blessed, fun, and safe summer! Remember ladies that just because they sell it doesn't mean you have to wear it. Set your standards high. You can be cute and classy and still dress modest.

What's the latest with me you might ask? Well, I've added a new book to my plethora of reads, Grace by Max Lucado. Although I've just begun to read the book, I look forward to reading it everyday. "Grace is simply another word for God's tumbling, rumbling reservoir of strength and protection. It comes at us not occasionally or miserly but constantly and aggressively, wave upon wave." Day after day, hour after hour. Relentless, tireless. The accuser makes a career out of accusing. Unlike the conviction of the Holy Spirit, Satan's condemnation brings no repentance or resolve, just regret. He has one aim: "to steal, and to kill, and to destroy your future. My advice to you is to read at least two books this summer, along with reading your Bible daily.

Never loose focus of who you are and whose you are! God Loves you and He wants the best for you.

This is your ministering Moment.

Ministering Message on Christian Living

Hello Faith walkers,

I would like for you to listen to my latest ministering video! My hope is that you will be blessed by this ministering moment message.

1Thessalonians 5:14-24
"14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all. 15 See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies.21 Test all things; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil.
23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.24 He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it"

Take on a New Mind in christ

 Hello Faith walkers,

I hope everyone is in the best of Gods care and enjoying this Christmas season. We're getting lots of snow in my area, I hope all of you are driving safe and staying warm.

I wanted to end the year with a message of encouragement. It is important to Grasp the Mind of Christ. We love sayings old things are passed away and I'm a new person in Jesus now, but have you really taken on the mind of Christ. When you have God on the inside of you, you should have thoughts on above and not believe. There is no more backwards thinking!  In 2 Corinthians 5:17 it says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." Put on the mind of Christ! You are victorious! You are more than a Conqueror! You are gifted! God loves you! You can make a change in the world! You were destined for greatness! Renew your mind...

The Good Shepherd

Happy Monday Faith walkers,

There has been a heat wave, that is sweeping our nation, and I am loving this hot weather. It is important to hydrate, and to step inside, to cool down. Don't stay out in the sun too long.

I was reading the tenth chapter of John,  verses 11-18 captured my attention most. I wanted to share with you these verses, and I hope it will revive something in your spirit and speak to you, to cause change in your life. Before I go any further, I want to remind you that it is imperative to your life's existence to read your Bible daily. Yes, I see it as a life or death matter. It is impossible to survive as a believer, without the word of God. So read it, crack you Bible open, click that app on your device, and read your Bible.

   John 10:11-18
11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. 12 But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. 13 The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. 15 As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.
17 “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. 18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.”

These eight verses speak volumes. Jesus is speaking, and He says He is the good shepherd. I thought to myself, Are we willing to be herded by Jesus? Do you want Him to continue to guide you? Stay under the guidance of the good shepherd, because a hireling ("verse 12" someone who does not own the sheep, and is not a shepherd), will allow the wolf to devour you. Satan seeks to devour you, and Jesus as he says in verse 17-18, willingly sacrificed His Life for His sheep. He is foreshadowing His death, in these verses, and is trying to get His point across, that He deeply cares for you and loves you. Jesus laid down His life for us. How do you honor this sacrifice Jesus made for you? Do you honor him be obeying His commandments? Jesus loves the world so much He goes on to explain, that He even died for the sheep that were not of His fold (verse 16). Then he says, all of those who serve Him are of the same fold. There is one body in Jesus Christ.
Wow! Isn't  it good to know we are not in this walk alone, in life. The main point, I hope you take from this scripture is that Jesus wants to be the shepherd over your life, not because He wants to control you, He freely offered His life for you. He wants to shape you and make you new, and He wants you to have Joy, Peace, Hope and experience love and life everlasting in Him.

Spread Peace today! Show Love in everything you do! And let the Joy of the Lord spring forth out of your soul in knowing that you are shepherded by Jesus Christ the "Good Shepherd".

Never being uprooted

Hello Faith walkers everywhere,

I hope you had a blessed Christmas spent with family and friends. As we embark into a New Year I pray you receive and walk in all the blessings God has in store for you.
Just yesterday the wind was blowing so hard outside my window, and I thought of all of you, who read these posts. It's true I really did think of you and the ministering moment I have for you today literally just dropped in my lap.
As the winds pushed the tree branches back and forth, I thought about our faith in God. Although the trees branches moved, the tree itself was never uprooted. Now imagine us (the body of Christ)being just like trees in the wind. As the storms of life beat at you and you go through tests and trials, you may loose some branches, and leaves. But, through it all you must remember, just like the tree outside my window, that  never came uprooted, to stand strong and do not leave the hand of God. The problems you face, on your job, at home, in school, with family, and friends they will not break you. Be not discouraged, do not lose hope. For nothing can seperate us from the love of God (read Romans 8:38-39), and through his love we find peace, a place of safety, refuge, protection, shelter, deliverance, healing, rest, salvation and a tower of strength. The big tree outside my window is still there, year after year, through hurricanes, snowstorms and blizzards it stands.
I believe you will continue to stand as well as you continue to walk with God.

"The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon."
Psalms 92:12

Tuesday morning a little after 7:00 am, a young man was shot dead on his way to school. His mom did not know when he walked out the door that morning; she would never see him alive again. I wonder what their last parting words were. Were they positive? Words of love? Did he leave in anger or irritation with his mom? He did not know that with every step he took out his door to reach school, he was walking to his death.

Did you pray this morning when you left the house? When you awoke this morning were you praising the Lord? What were your parting words with your loved ones, or roommate? That young man’s name is Marckel Norman Ross he was 18yrs old. He never knew that Tuesday was his last day taking that walk to school. I don’t think of him as another face added to the youth dying in the DMV area. He was a son, cousin, friend, brother. I drove past the very spot he died Tuesday morning, wondering what was going on, what happened. I don’t know if he was saved or knew the Lord. But I want to remind you, that you don’t want to leave your computer screen at this very moment without giving your life to God. Often time’s people think that “tomorrow isn’t promised to you” is just a Christian cliché. But I beg to differ, it is very true. Jesus Loves You! Whatever your circumstance, Whatever situation you may be facing in your life right now, it is not too much for God to bear, give it to Jesus.

Just because we're young does not guarantee tomorrow, but when we live for God we are guaranteed everlasting life. Living every day for Jesus is well worth it.

Romans 5:8-10 NKJV

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Who are you living for?

Hello Faith-walkers,

Happy Labor day! I hope everyone has a blessed week.

Who are you living for? Are you living for God?
......God wants you to prosper. We are not to live for ourselves, but in all things seek that which is His will in our lives. Man was not created to be the center. God is the center of all things and all things are for Him! The "us" that we know must be crucified with Christ. This happens to us in Him. Our focus must change to make Christ the center.....

Do you have the light?

Hello Faith walkers,

I know its been a while since I wrote a post, but I'm going to make up for that. I'll most definitely be doing weekly post again. There's a artist by the name of Mali Music I really enjoy listening to; his music is awesome. He's worked with artists like Kirk Franklin, Lecrae, Kierra Sheard and many others. There is lots of good Christian music out there. Check out this video.
I just want to encourage you this weekend to not leave your light at home. Don't try to hide it. Keep carrying your light.

God Bless You!

Make everyday a day of FAITH!!

Everywhere I go(man it’s crazy)
Everybody like (whoa)
There go Mali Music and I’m like(whoa)
Didn’t even know I made it yet for folks to act Like that ya’ll
(Favor)I’m so glad that song blessed ya
(Thank ya) and God bless ya
But, I’m really wondering what you see when you Lay eyes on me
Do you see my shoes?
The clothes on my back?
Do you see my swagger?
Then you looking at flesh
Cause I walk in spirit
I live for the King
It’s in Him I move and have my very being

Hook-

Steady wondering why you can’t see me
Tryna figure out what it is about me

I got The Light/ I got The Light/ I got The Light/ I got The Light/ stop tryin to figure me out/ it ain’t me y’all/ it’s all about God/ and The Light don’t clap off/ I got The Light/ I got The Light/ I got The Light/ I got The Light/ BLING!

Verse 2-

Don’t need an introduction
Don’t want an introduction
Because with an introduction…
You have the tendency to get sucked in
To what you’re about to hear
What you’re about see
What I’m about to do
But it ain’t about me
When I sing or when I speak people don’t listen to
...
me please just hear what God is trying to reveal to you
Through my lyrics
Through my melody

"Oh Really?

Happy Monday!!

How are you spending these crazy hot days? Well, I'm a huuuggge poetry fan; I also write poetry and enjoy listning to other talented poets.
I wanted you to share this video by Eric Vaughn his  poem is titled "Oh Really". This guy is definitely spitting out the truth, you will most definitely laugh, cause you to be conscious of what you are listening to and have a "Oh Really?" moment!! Enjoy!!

Before you scroll down here's your reflective scripture for the week:

Galatians 2:19-21
"For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God.  I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”
